THE LATEST UPDATE 12/18/09

We have experienced some text messaging issues.  Some customers were sending or receiving unrecognizable messages such as ( ^&^%$$$^^*(*(&^%^&#%).  These issues were caused by some duplicate programming done by one of our vendors.  We believe this has been corrected.  If you continue to have text messaging issues please call 570-723-7300 immediately so we can correct the problem.

The other text issue has to do with sending messages.  On our older text messaging platform you could send a message by dialing only 7 digits.  The new text server requires that you dial 10 or 11 digits to send a text message.  So remember to enter the area code and check your stored contacts in your phone to make sure they have 10 or 11 digits also.

Voice Mail:  A few customers have had problems getting their new voice mail.  This is due to some older SIM cards in the phones.  To eliminate the problem you can always access your new voicemail by dialing your own cell number from your phone.  This will route you to your new voicemail.  In the coming weeks we will be updating everyone’s SIM programming, we will contact you soon.

Call quality:  The BEST news so far is we have moved most of our sites to the new platform and have found there is an easily noticeable improvement in call quality and clarity.  Our connect times are much faster for voice, text and data.  We still have lots of work to do but we are on target to have the new network completely in place by Christmas.
